Terms of Use

Tangles Events is provided and operated by Tintabee Ltd ('Tintabee') which builds technologies and services that enable people to safely connect with each other within defined communities. These Terms govern your use of the Tangles Events apps, web site and the other products, features, apps, services, technologies and software that we offer. These Products are provided to you by Tintabee Limited which is a UK company registed in England.

Our Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data.

The services we provide

Our mission is to allow individuals to interact and communicate digitally and through organised events within a safe environment, sure that the individuals that they are interacting with are who they say they are. Our mission is centred on the aim to make communication and interaction between young people and entrusted individuals safe, transparent and secure. To help advance this mission, we provide the products and services described below to you:

Connect you with people and communities that you care about:

We help you find and connect with communitiesLicensing that matter to you across the Tangles Events Products that you use. We may use the data that we have to make suggestions for you and others – for example, communities to join, events to participate in.

Enable you to be sure about who you interact with:

Tangles Events employs a number of technologies and practices which enable the platform to validate your identity and the identity of others that you interact with. The platform makes use of personal data which you and communities provide about you in order to determine that you are who you say you are and that you are permitted to interact with other members of any given community.

Combat harmful conduct, and protect our community:

People will only join a Tangles Events community if they feel safe. We develop technologies to detect and prevent misuse of our Products, harmful conduct towards others and situations where we may be able to help support or protect our community. Examples include removing content, controlling or blocking access, disabling an account.

Research ways to make our services better:

We engage in research to develop, test and improve our Products. This includes analysing the data we have about our users and understanding how people use our Products, for example by conducting surveys, monitoring usage patterns and testing and troubleshooting new features.

Enable access to our services:

To operate our service, we need to store and distribute content and data in data centres which may be outside your country of residence. This infrastructure may be operated or controlled by Tintabee Ltd or its technology providers.

How our services are funded

Use of the mobile applications on Android and IOS is free of charge. Creating small-scale communities is also provided free of charge, subject to fair usage. The cost of the platform is funded by charges to communities who use the platform and who manage larger scale events.

We don't sell your personal data to third parties, and we don't share information that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address or other contact information) unless you give us specific permission.

Your commitments to Tangles Events and our communities

We provide these services to you and others to help advance our mission. In exchange, we require you to make the following commitments:

Disputes

We try to provide clear rules so that we can limit or hopefully avoid disputes between you and us. If a dispute does arise, however, it's useful to know upfront where it can be resolved and what laws will apply.
